Rodeo History

First held in 1897, the Daddy of Em All first started as a good old-fashioned cowboy roundup that featured pony races, bronco busting, steer roping, and many other events. Seen as a true test of a cowboy's skills, the initial event proved to be so popular that the following year it was expanded to two days and included a parade. As the years went on, the rodeo continued to expand and build an outstanding reputation until it got to where it is today, which is one of the world's greatest pro rodeo spectacles.
