2017 Rodeo de Santa Fe

Santa Fe, New Mexico

One of the top 60 Professional Rodeo Cowboy Association rodeos is coming up June 21 through June 24, 2017 in Santa Fe, New Mexico. This event has been held every year since 1949 and last year is drew in over 500 contestants, including world wining cowboys and cowgirls. This year even more up and coming talent is expected to take part.

New this year is the Mutton Bustin' competition. This is for kids ages over 4 years old and under 60 pounds in weight. The event staff with supply the kids with helmets and protective vests in order for them to ride those sheep safely and have fun doing it. Kids are also invited to participate in the annual barrel races on Wednesday night. More info on how to get your little cowboy or cowgirl in on the fun can be found at www.rodeosantafe.org.

The event is proud to be hosting The Rodeo Clown Reunion this year. Professional clowns from years back will don their make up and costumes to bring back some classic western entertainment and aid in the bull fighting.

You come to the rodeo for the bull fighting, you say? Bull fighters Luke Kraut and Kyle O’Hare will be showing their skills in the ring, as well. Bull fighting, as well as all of the events in Santa Fe for this event are going to be covered by the media team consisting of the Cowboy Lifestyle Network, Ak-Chin Indian Community, Earnhardt Auto Centers and Papa John's Road Team. Fe. Cowboy Lifestyle Network is the leading online source and community for everything Western and Country. For more information about CLN can be found at cowboylifestylenetwork.com. As always, updates about this event can be found on the organization's social media accounts such as Facebook, Twitter, MySpace and the like. Find them and follow all the latest information and developments about the festivities.

Be sure to order your tickets at www.ticketssantafe.org so you, too, can take in the entertainment, enjoy the food from the concessions and the excitement of the midway carnival. Remember, there is beer and wine available in the seating areas.

The fun and competition truly is a family event here. As a prequel to the Rodeo de Santa Fe, this year will be the first year for an Exceptional Kids Rodeo. It will feature friendly fun for kids ages 4 to 12 with physical and mental exceptionalities. Get more info from Jess Franks at 505-330-8273.
