A History of Excellence

This will be the 82nd straight year that the Caldwell Night Rodeo has been held. Over the years, this amazing event has earned a reputation as one of the best highlight on the PRCA calendar. With five night of action from August 13-18, everyone is Canyon County will have a chance to see the excitement. Because it is one of the dwindling outdoor stops on the Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association Tour, this event is really special. There is something about being outside under the lights that gives extra adrenaline to the cowboys, cowgirls and animal athletes in the rodeo. This provides the crowds added exhilaration to enjoy.

Seven Action-Packed Events

One of the highlights of the Caldwell Night Rodeo is always the bareback riding. Strapping yourself onto a bucking bronco without a saddle takes a special kind of bravery. Some of the other exciting events at this PRCA rodeo include team roping, saddle bronc riding, steer wrestling, tie-down roping and barrel racing.

The rowdy crowd that comes out to the Caldwell Rodeo ensures that the bullfighters always give their best, and they will get to see one of the best as Bullfighters Only (BFO) and six-time PRCA Bullfighter of the Year, Dusty Tuckness is set to attend.

Of course, like any other Professional Rodeo Cowboys Association stop, the highlight every night is always the bull riding. Watching a 160-pound man summon the courage to climb aboard a 2000-pound quivering mass of muscle dedicated to destroying him is a thrill that stays with spectators long after the rodeo is over.
