Teams from eleven states competed at the annual Stockman Livestock Judging contest. Teams placed fourteen classes of cattle, swine, sheep and goats and gave oral reasons on six to eight of those classes.
Over fifty alumni, livestock supporters and students helped with the event including: supplying livestock, officiating, providing meal service, and leading groups and showing livestock.
Nine-teen youth teams competed in the event, Churubusco winning the youth division. The second place team was Montgomery County from Indiana, 3rd was McLean County from Illinois, 4th place to a team from Virginia, 5th was awarded to a local team from Noble County, and 6th place was awarded to a team representing the state of Colorado.
Chevy Vaske earned the placement of High Individual in the youth division. Vaske is a Kentucky resident. In the college freshman division, Eric Schafer, from Butler Community College in Kansas, was awarded High Individual. Kimmie McCombover from Hutchinson Community College in Kansas won the junior college division, while Kylee Myers, from Western Illinois University, won the senior college division.
