French looking to invest in energy & water in Angola
French businesspeople intend to invest in the energy and water sectors and contribute to the process of growth and economic development in Angola said, Tuesday in Luanda the French ambassador to Angola, Sylvian Itté.
The diplomat said that French companies are among the best in the world in the area of energy and water and have technical and financial solutions so that, in a few years, Luanda and Angola in general can register an increase in the number of people with access to water and energy, which are fundamental rights.
Speaking at the opening of the business meeting in the sectors of Energy, Water and Urban Development, which runs until Friday 08, Sylvian Itté said it would be good for France to help Angola to grow and improve the living standard its population.
Sylvian Itté said that after this meeting, the next one will happen at the end of the year and will be in the area of agriculture and agro-industry.
"We intend to organize before the end of the year because we hope to have the visit of the French Minister of Agriculture to Angola and at the same time organize a meeting and bring French companies in the agricultural and agro-industry areas, sectors that France is also part of the great powers world, "he said.
The Business meetings in the Energy, Water and Urban Development sectors running from 5 to 8 June are being organized by the commercial service of the French Embassy (Business France) in collaboration with the Ministry of Energy and Water and the Provincial Government of Luanda in order to present the French offer in respect of the abovementioned sectors.
Over 1 billion Euros were gathered from economic partners as a result of the agreements signed by Angola and France, as part of the official visit of the President of the Republic, João Lourenço, to the European nation.
