Overview

The Federacion Mexicana de Rodeo is the brainchild of Diego González Fernández. Fernández created the event to protect, support and promote the rugged Western lifestyle that’s been embraced by many of the cowboys and cowgirls in Mexico. Founded in Chihuahua, Mexico, the organization quickly linked with the PRCA Pro Rodeo circuit. Ever since, the two organizations have been some of the sport’s biggest advocates, ensuring the sport of rodeo stays alive and well, and reminding the world that the cowboy lifestyle crosses many cultural borders.

Why This Rodeo?

The PRCA Federacion Mexicana de Rodeo stands out for being the rare event that highlights professional cowboys and cowgirls that thrive in the heart of Mexico. These are the state of Mexico’s best of the best, as well as top contenders from across North America, and you’ll see them compete in bareback riding, tie-down roping, steer wrestling, saddle bronc riding, team roping and bull riding. These stars will use the competitions to earn top marks and qualify for this year’s Wrangler National Finals taking place in Las Vegas this December.
