Ethiopian Airlines to launch Los Angeles – Lome non-stop flight
The Ethiopian continues to pursue its quest of more international destinations, as it expands its service reach.
The Ethiopian Airlines will soon connect West Africa with the West Coast of the USA with a direct flight, according to a press release from the air carrier.
The national carrier will connect the City of Los Angeles with Lome, the capital of Togo beginning from December 17.
The new route will be the only and first of its kind to connect West Africa with the West Coast of the USA with a direct flight, giving the ‘Best Airline in Africa’ a more competitive edge in the aviation industry. Ethiopian continues to add more destinations under its belt as it looks to expand its reach.
Commenting on the ‘next’ move for the air carrier, Mr. Tewolde GebreMariam, Group CEO of Ethiopian Airlines said, “We are delighted to launch yet another long-haul direct flight which takes passengers’ experience to a new level by availing connectivity between West Africa and the West Coast of the USA. Onboard our flights on the new route, passengers will as always enjoy our premium, award-winning services on the most technologically advanced B-787 Dreamliner aircraft. In line with our growth roadmap, Vision 2025, we will keep expanding our vast international network, and create better air connectivity options within Africa as well as between Africa and the rest of the world.”
The ‘Best Economy Class in Africa’ airline is optimistic to initiate a new route from Addis Ababa to Dublin via Madrid to begin operations on15 December 2018. Ethiopian is seizing potential business investment opportunities, serving its travelers with the best quality services.
The Star Alliance member now has over 116 international destinations it operates with Manchester, Moscow, Istanbul, and Mogadishu yet to launch. Their presence in these multinational destinations should increase the tourism receipts from Ethiopia, and help market investment opportunities back at home.
As the government is plotting to elevate the economic performance of the manufacturing industry, the positive initiative by Africa’s leading airlines should add impetus to the plans.
