Kate Middleton Once Called 'Social Climber' And 'Waity Katie' Before She Becomes A Beloved Duchess She Is Now
Like Meghan Markle, Kate Middleton did not have an easy royal life too. Before she joined the royal family, Kate was also the subject of media scrutiny and criticisms for years. The Duchess of Cambridge, however, endured it all and, now, she has positioned herself as a beloved Duchess and future Queen of England.

Kate Middleton, recently, celebrated her 38th birthday and eight years of that with the royal family. Over the years, she gradually transformed into England's beloved Duchess. She changed the public's first impression of her as "desperate social-climber" to the calmest and elegant member of the family.
U.K's Independent newspaper editor Caitlin McBride recalled how tabloids poked fun of Kate when it was revealed that she is dating the second in the line of the British throne. She and her mother, Carole, were even accused of being social climbers.
Prince William and Kate Middleton dated for almost a decade before Princess Diana and Prince Charles' eldest son proposed to her. The long wait gained Kate the moniker, "waity Katie," which she despises deeply.
Even after Prince William and Kate tied the knot in 2011, the public continued to criticize her for, allegedly, being too boring. However, she won the approval of the most powerful person in the family, Queen Elizabeth II.
It was reported that the Queen became a fan of Kate because of the latter's personality. It appears that the monarch and the Duchess of Cambridge have the same attitude on how to keep calm amidst turmoil and how to handle life.
Many royal experts also believe that Kate Middleton shine the brightest in 2019. The Cambridges had a successful tour of Pakistan this year and the Duchess, in particular, was praised on how she handled royal engagements.
"2019 was undoubtedly her most successful year in the public and although it came at the cost of the Sussexes, there is cause to celebrate her future within the monarchy. 38 isn't exactly a milestone age, but the last 12 months have been momentous in her growth as a Duchess," McBride wrote.
Meanwhile, the public will see more of Kate Middleton's work and dedication to the royal family as she and her husband, Prince William, are expected to take more royal responsibilities after Prince Harry and Meghan Meghan stepped down as senior members of the family. The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge were, reportedly, deeply hurt by the Sussexes' decision and Kate hates seeing William so upset.
