We can't think of a better place to spend the holidays than Vegas...

Let's be honest: Vegas is all about where you stay—and there's no shortage of over-the-top, mind-blowing hotels to choose from. If you're still looking to plan a quick holiday escape (because, really, no one does NYE like Vegas), here are 8 spots that pull out all the stops.

Tripadvisor Plus is our travel membership program that lets you save big every time you take a trip (and yes, all the hotels we’ve written about here are in on the savings). Interested? Get the scoop.

Delano Las Vegas

The breezy sophistication of Miami's original Delano meets modern desert decor at this boutique hotel at Mandalay, which occupies its own tower. If you're looking for a place to crash with one of the best views of the Strip's holiday lights, this is it. Don’t miss the decadent New Years Eve feast at the French Riviera–themed Rivea restaurant. Trust us, all you'll want to do the next day is hang out at the hotel's Bathhouse Spa.

Wynn Las Vegas

Go at any time of year and the show-stopping Wynn Las Vegas will wow you with its lavish botanical displays (floral globes hang from the ceilings while a floral carousel is extremely Instagram-friendly). But when the holidays roll around, Wynn goes all out, becoming a high-octane production that includes a massive gingerbread house and a snow-capped Lilliputian village that would thrill Jonathan Swift.

Nomad Las Vegas

There aren't many hotels as transporting as the NoMad Las Vegas, a Jacques Garcia-designed boutique with a residential feel. You’ll walk through a private entrance that echoes Old-World Europe, then move onto your Parisian-inspired apartment with a fantastic view of Vegas. Just outside the hotel doors is The Park, the Strip’s largest green space. Every December, you can find carolers belting out Christmas tunes and pop-up holiday dining (think mulled wine and German sausages).

Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas

Waldorf Astoria Las Vegas has more than a few amazing offerings, but our fave is a super-private spa inspired by 1920s Shanghai (if you’re in need of a major dose of holiday relaxation, come here for one of the best massages on the Strip). This non-gaming hotel is a great combo of peace and quiet and proximity to holiday highlights like Aria, with its mind-boggling, totally edible Winter Wonderland display; The Cosmopolitan of Las Vegas and its pop-up ice skating rink; and The Shops at Crystals, where you'll find the best boutique brands.

Virgin Hotels Las Vegas, Curio Collection by Hilton

Just off the south end of the Strip, the former Hard Rock Hotel was recently transformed into the Virgin Hotels Las Vegas. Out went the rock ‘n roll memorabilia and in came desert-inspired décor, a boho-glam Studio 54-meets-Moroccan Kasbah lounge, and an easy-breezy vibe. New Year’s Eve will bring one of the most coveted tickets in town: Lizzo, performing at The Theater at Virgin Hotels.

Westgate Las Vegas Resort & Casino

This storied spot began as the International Hotel in 1969 and eventually became the Las Vegas Hilton—but was perhaps best known for its seven-year run of 636 sold-out Elvis Presley shows. Now a hotel, timeshare, and casino resort, it’s one of the best places to get your Old Vegas feels—including with Barry Manilow, who returned in 2021 and is extending his show into 2022.

JW Marriott Las Vegas Resort & Spa

Want to get off the Strip? This Spanish colonial-style resort is set on 50 acres of perfectly manicured gardens twenty minutes west of the action. Locals love the Marriott for its gorgeous Spa Aquae and one of the best–and most sedate–pool scenes around. It’s also minutes from the popular TPC Las Vegas golf club, part of the PGA Tour’s Tournament Players Club Network (because nothing says Las Vegas like holiday golfing). A five-minute car ride away is this year’s most memorable light display, Enchant Christmas, at the Las Vegas Ballpark. Expect an ice skating rink, a Christmas village with art and food vendors, and of course, Santa Claus.

MGM Grand Las Vegas

Guarded by a 45-foot bronze lion, this massive 5,000-plus room hotel is home to Hakkasan nightclub and next level celeb chef restaurants. There's New Orleans Fish House by Emeril Lagasse, Craftsteak by Tom Colicchio, and Morimoto Las Vegas by Masaharu Morimoto, to name a few. If you’re staying here for the holidays, don’t miss NYE at Hakkasan, where the world-famous DJ Black Coffee is ringing in 2022 with a confetti-filled blowout.
