83rd Annual St. George Lions Dixie Round-up Rodeo 2017
St. George, Utah
The PRCA St. George Lions Rodeo is held during the second week in each September, so this year it will be from Thursday, September 14, through Saturday, September 16, at the historic grass-turf Sun Bowl in St. George, Utah. It is hosted by the local Lions Club, is approved by the Professional Rodeo Cowboy’s Association (PRCA), and embraces southern Utah's ranching and agricultural history and heritage. The gates open and tickets are on sale at 6:00 PM nightly, there is pre-rodeo entertainment from 6:00 to 7:30 PM, and the rodeo usually finishes about 11:00 PM.
Tickets
General Admission – Adult: $10.00, Children ages 11 and under: $5.00, and ages 2 and younger, who sit on a parent's lap so do not take up a seat, will be free.
Reserved Seats: $15.00 if purchased ahead of time.
Participants
World-class professional and champion rodeo cowboys and cowgirls compete in the excitement and action that demonstrate their wrangling, bronc-busting, and other skills. Even young mutton busters are featured in a special segment.
Rodeo Parades
With the theme: “Long Live the Dixie Round-Up,” it will be on Saturday, September 16, at 9:00 AM. There will also be a children's parade.

Beauty will abound on Thursday evening as contestants adorned in shimmering western wear and cowgirl hats will compete in various segments to see who will be crowned the new rodeo queen and princesses.
Kids Night: On Thursday, September 14, children ages 11 and under are free. Buy the kids and the whole family the incredibly tasty hamburgers.

Charities
Because of the hosting by the Lion's Club, there is a charitable element involved in the local annual rodeos with funds going to important causes such as breast cancer awareness.
