Why did Iran's leadership respond to Trump's lies by closing Hormuz?

Has the peace and cease-fire deal collapsed? Where do the origins of Iranian power lie?

The Iranian leadership's reclosure of the Strait of Hormuz, preventing oil tankers and commercial ships from entering, and the Revolutionary Guard's boats firing on two of them in protest of the American navy's blockade of Iranian ports, all indicate, individually or collectively, the strength and resilience of the Iranian stance in the face of American arrogance and, at the same time, readiness to confront all the political and military repercussions of this courageous

U.S. President Donald Trump has falsely claimed that Iran has surrendered to American demands, including handing over 460 kilograms of enriched uranium in exchange for $0 billion in aid and halting enrichment activities.

Iranian Supreme Leader Ali Khamenei released a powerful statement today, Saturday, confirming that "the Iranian navy is ready to defeat its enemies again amid the continued tension in the Strait of Hormuz". Meanwhile, the Iranian army's Central Command of the Khatam al-Anbiya quickly accused the US of failing to meet its commitments, and Iran will maintain control of the Strait of Hormuz until the US lifts its blockade on Iranian ports and allows ships to enter and exit without harassment.

Given all of the foregoing, it is reasonable to assume that the weak ceasefire, the two-week fighting stop, and the rapid return to discussions after two days all collapsed like buildings made of sand and that fighting has resumed.

The truth is that Iran never requested a ceasefire, whereas Trump sought and begged for one, because all of his threats to destroy Iranian civilisation, open the gates of hell on Iran, and bomb all power plants failed to intimidate Iran and force it to comply with all of his demands. As a result, he turned to his partner, the Pakistani leadership, for mediation and swift negotiations with the Iranian side to salvage his reputation, if such a thing existed, which it did.

The final days of the confrontations that preceded the announcement of the ceasefire revealed many defeats suffered by American forces, the most notable being the downing of twenty aircraft of various types, particularly the MQ-9 drones, each valued at $25-30 million, and the "F-35" stealth fighters, the crown jewel of American air defence, in addition to other types of aerial refuelling aircraft and advanced "F-15" fighters.

The current American government has recognised that Iran will not be Libya, Iraq, or Venezuela, and it has become resistant to all American and Israeli acrobatics. It will not give up its enriched uranium, which can be used to build eight nuclear bombs in two weeks in the case of an Israeli or even American nuclear threat. It possesses the detonators, brains, and hypersonic missiles required to manufacture, use, and deliver these bombs to their intended targets, whether in occupied Palestine, aircraft carriers in the Red Sea, or American outposts on land.

Five elements primarily provide Iranian strength, and all of them violate American and Israeli military philosophies. The first is that its army and Revolutionary Guard are willing to fight to the end for victory. The second is the broadening of the war's scope and circle to encompass the entire region. The third option is to destroy all American military bases. The fourth goal is to return as many American soldiers as possible in coffins to their home countries, as the Vietnamese, Iraqis, and Afghans have done. The fifth option is to prolong the war, turning it into a drain on both human lives and the economy.

The next few days could be the most hazardous for the region and the world, and Trump faces tremendous hurdles, particularly now that he has run out of lies and deceitful threats. All we can do is wait.
