According to The Sun UK, there was a moment previously when Queen Elizabeth II received a [supposed-to-be] cheeky gift during her royal tour in Australia, in 1970. Princess Anne, the only daughter of the queen and Prince Philip, revealed that the gift was a fake hand that went to and fro, as if it's waiving.

The princess recalled the exact events as reiterated in a book about the queen titled, Queen of The World. As it happened, the royal family was visiting an "agricultural college" in Australia during the tour.

While on tour, three young students "pushed out" the crowd, along with the gift, to give the fake hand that came with a stuffed glove to Her Majesty. Upon seeing the gift, Queen Elizabeth took the gift and shared that this is what she "always wanted."

Princess Anne attested that they were all surprised by the queen's reaction. Not only that they were the ones who did not expect it, but the three young students also went in shock upon hearing Queen Elizabeth's reactions. She thanked them after for the gift.

Based on Princess Anne's recollection of the events, her mother went back to the United Kingdom and brought the gift home. It was also shared that the fake hand went to the Balmoral where it became as a "family joke."

It is worth noting that this wasn't the first time that Her Majesty received bizarre gifts from the public. As reported by Her, a 2014 documentary titled, The Majestic Life of Queen Elizabeth II revealed that Queen Elizabeth II and Prince Philip received over 1700 gifts after tying the knot in 1947, which were mostly intended for the young Elizabeth.

Based on the royal biographer, Robert Lacey's assertions, hundreds of these gifts were nylon stockings. These gifts, though bizarre during the period, were rather "sweet" due to the underlying meaning behind.

The newly wedded couple also received a "cotton lace" from Mahatma Gandhi, which he worked by himself and "embroidered" the phrase, "Jai Hind," or the Victory of India.
