Movies Under the Stars at the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center
Maricopa, Arizona
The days are longer and the weather's getting warmer, which means it's time for Movies Under the Stars, offered at the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle. This event is free and provides family-friendly movies and outdoor fun.
If you have a case of the Mondays, a trip to an outdoor movie can cheer you up! From February-May, enjoy one movie each month, shown outside in the amphitheater. The starting movie lineup includes:
March 27, The Smurfs
April 24, Cloudy with a Chance of Meatballs
May 29, Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles
Movies begin at 6 p.m. and will be shown on the amphitheater's Jumbo Tron screen. Bring blankets and low-sitting chairs. Fire pits are always available to keep warm once the sun goes down – just the thing for those cooler nights!
No outside food may be brought to the area. Guests can bring to-go food and snacks purchased from the Cones Cafe, 347 Grill or The Luxe Lounge. Concession stands in the amphitheater area will sell beverages and snacks, including s’mores kits for use by the fire pits. So, pack up the family, grab your blankets and chairs, and enjoy Movies Under the Stars!
When summer rolls in, movies will be shown weekly on Mondays and will be announced on their website. During the summer series, the nearby splash pad will be available for the younger kids. Make a free outdoor movie part of your weekly summer routine!
There are many other great days on which you can go to the movies at the UltraStar Multi-tainment Center at Ak-Chin Circle too. Inside the theater, you can watch current blockbusters on Discount Days, which are offered most Tuesdays and Thursdays. The special includes $6.50 movie tickets (offer valid on select showings all day), $2 regular popcorns, and $2 regular drinks. On the other hand, Discount Days exclude special engagements, 3-D movies, and Star Class movies. Make a day of it and enjoy $2 laser tag at the center's Urban Arena and $2 games of bowling at the Ten Pins Down bowling center.
