Located on a peninsula surrounded by small barrier islands, and once walled for protection from its enemies by sea, Charleston, South Carolina is a city steeped in history -- and lost souls of the south. A new cocktail – and a proprietary one – may be sipped at one of Charleston’s most luxurious hotels, Hotel Bennett. The hotel team collaborated with Firefly Distillery to create Hotel Bennett Single Barrel Select Bourbon. The team tasted repeatedly to get the profile perfect for its most discerning guests of the hotel. Its available in Hotel Bennett’s signature restaurant, Gabrielle, as well as its rooftop bar, Fiat Lux. Guests of the King’s Club can enjoy a shot as can anyone who visits the Faberge egg designed Champagne bar, Camellias.

The name of this specialty cocktail made with this bourbon is “Honey, I’m Comb” and is a mix of the hotel’s signature bourbon, smoked peach puree, lemon juice, and egg white garnished with a lightly ‘torched’ honeycomb. Expect subtle toffee notes complementing a spicy and fruit-forward finish. Try it with your own bourbon and then stop by Hotel Bennett to see if you can taste the difference.
