Meghan Markle Called A 'Fame Addict' Who Uses Prince Harry As Prop In New Book

A royal author with a reputation for knowing the right people in London has written a book about Meghan Markle and Prince Harry, which will be out in stores on June 25. Lady Colin Campbell hardly has any great things to write about the Duchess of Sussex in the book, Meghan and Harry: The Real Story.

In fact, Campbell wrote that Meghan is a "fame addict" who has been using Prince Harry as a prop to achieve what she desires most -- fame and fortune. The lady who is familiar with royal scandals said that Meghan always dreamed of being a star.

Campbell also said that Meghan got married to Prince Harry so she could kick off a commercial enterprise, which is something royals aren't allowed to do. The author said that she knows so much about the royals because she's friends with their friends, she knows their courtiers and have attended parties with the royal family.

The British writer and socialite, who married the son of the 11th Duke of Argyll, revealed in May that mutual friends of hers and Meghan tried to influence her book release. She said in a YouTube interview that friends of the royal couple tried to feed her stuff hoping it would change the narrative of her book.

Meghan and Harry: The Real Story would be out in stores ahead of Finding Freedom, the other book written about Prince Harry and Meghan by authors Omid Scobie and Carolyn Durand. The Duke and Duchess of Susses apparently consented to Finding Freedom, which will be out in August.

Campbell is no stranger to stories about the real-life royals. She also published a book about Princess Diana in 1992, which delved on the affairs of Prince Harry's mother. The author said that she had some help from her sons, Dimitri and Michael, about covering the Sussexes. Apparently, her sons are friends with Tyler Dooley, Meghan's nephew.

She's also been a critic of the Duchess of Sussex. In 2019, before Prince Harry and Meghan said they were quitting their royal roles, Campbell said via Daily Mail that Meghan is graceless and has little understanding nor appreciation for her position a royal.

The royal author called the former TV star as pretentious, who couldn't make it big as an actress. But Campbell said royals do not hustle and don't need the celebrity status, which she said is something that Meghan doesn't understand.
